Good afternoon, dear friends and colleagues. Can someone tell me the principle behind the construction of the menu? I want to use my sum of numbers. I can not understand the algorithm. Thanks everyone!

I love the magic & history of magic! My favorites magicians - Dai Vernon, Max Malini, Fielding West, Michael Finney, Jeff Hobson, Bob Sheets, Nick Lewin, Harry Murphy, Dick Oslund- great showmen of magic!

This does indeed look like a Forcing Matrix. See http://www.deceptionary.com/aboutmatrices.html for details on how to create one. This particular one looks a lot like Fred Rosenbaum's Chinese Menu: Syzygy Volume 2, Number 7, Issue #25, 1995, which was later packaged as Szechuan Sampler by Larry Becker and Lee Earle in 1997. You might also be interested in The Shopping Trip Prediction: The Linking Ring , Feb 2007, p98. The Forcing Matrix is a wonderful principle and you can find many routines of different types all based on the same theory.
There are also several interesting menu based effects based on other principles, including Karl Fulves' Soup To Nuts: Self-Working Paper Magic, p108, Phil Goldstein's Menu Pause: Thabbatical, and Jim Steinmeyer's Dining Out: Genii, Mar 2012 p24. Murf |
