Recently purchased Johnny Wong’s Super triple coin. Love this effect and thought I’d show you my handling of it.

Nice job my man! Just curious, do you have the "sticking" issue many people have with the wong set? Also what made you opt for this set over the J.J. coin coalition set? Been trying to weight the pros and cons of THe super triple coin, split focus, and J.J.s coin set. I've been leaning toward the coin coalition but can't make up my mind hahaha.

Hi Bobby,
Yes they do tend to stick. I dampen my fingers to get over this issue. It’s a bit annoying when they stick but if the coalitions don’t stick I’d go with that set. The only reason I went with this set is they were going cheap at a car boot. Still happy with them for the price I paid for them £30 GBP. 😊 |

Nice! Thanks for getting back with me. Great find on the wong set by the way! From what I hear the coins from the coin coalition set do not stick because they don't use stickers. We shall see.

I use fanning powder on mine (Zinc Stearate) and have had no problem. Just rub it on the coins where the stickers are, and they will slide like butter.

That’s good to know Bobby, hope you’re happy with whatever you purchase.
Great tip Dan thank you. I shall give that a go. 😊 |

Managed to get some fanning powder, applied it to the coins and now they work like a dream.
Never even thought of using that. Thank you Dan for such a great tip. Really happy. 😊😊😊 |

Another tip for sticking coins I go from Paul Richard's wife at Blackpool (I purchased his set). Use starch spray like you would on your shirts. Makes them slide very smooth.

Thanks Chorm,
I’ll try that when I run out of fanning powder |

Just came across this thread. At Magic Live several years ago I talked to him about the coins sticking. Told him I was trying the chap stick solution and he was horrified. Johnny said all you have to do if the set sticks is clean the coins by putting drops of water on the Teflon side and then wiping dry with a clean cloth. Works for me.
