Perfect World by Ian Barradell came out literally years ago and he is a good mate of mine purely from 20 years plus of Blackpool convention visits and also 100’s of visits to Mark Masons JB magic shop .
It’s a great effect and I don’t know how this differs except If it’s cardshark so I will have a very good idea . Ian’s certainly didn’t fall under my radar even way back then Gaz 🙂 |

The concept of wide spread gaffs is the use of certain values where their pips negate the need for an angle print ie a 4 has the pips on the edge so the it naturally allows for a wider spread in the hands or table. Hope that makes sense? |

I was surprised A New World got the praise it did when it was only half a deck and this was conveniently missed out of the advertising. |

In fact, "New World" was created in 1994 and offered in a very small run just to some "in the know", handmade by the fabulous Neil Lester. The printing and marketing followed around 2005, thanks to Tim Trono and Murphy's. So, it looks like that "Perfect World" hit the market first (2004). But I also believe that almost nobody knew about "New World" before 2005. Jan

I'm certainly not "in the know" and live in the middle of England (Derby) and had no other reference work to compare to. Would have been nice to have received the kind of publicity A New World did but as an "unknown" I don't have the backing of Murphy's etc ... Means a great deal that Mark Mason supported my idea though. He's an absolute legend and I owe him a great deal. |

We did not know about your version, but I am 100 % sure you were first regarding Dean and Michael. Our version is different though, and as the thread died completely regarding those comments, the owners of the effect might already have seen the credit section and the real secret of the deck they received.
