Thought not a book, I highly recommend John Bannon's Move Zero DVD series. All of them are great.

Karl Fulves has a couple of good books with this type of trick, as does Bob Longe. The later does use some simple handlings in some of the routines which might not make them strictly "self-working", but it's not really too demanding. Robert Giobbi's "Card College Light" is all self-working and includes some rather good tricks - grouped together three at a time, giving you several routines which are already worked out.
There are also a lot of "self-workers" (or semi self-workers) in other books that aren't strictly devoted to "self-workers" - many of the tricks might require some level of trickery (which really can be learned with a bit of practice), but a others are very easy and yet have a great effect. Nick Trost and Aldo Colombini come to mind. "The Card Magic of Nick Trost" and "Strictly Impropmt2" (Colombini) are full of good stuff, for example - there are some "self-workers" in there that are really good and the rest needs just a little more work/trickery. |

There's basically a thread already on this which was started in January this year. There's some good suggestions there:
Books with lots of self working content? https://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/view......c=707944 Personally I'm a big fan of self-working card tricks, and I've written an article that covers why they're good, as well as the best books and videos for learning them, which is what you're asking for: ● Where To Learn Self-Working Card Tricks My suggestions include: ● John Scarne - Scarne on Card Tricks. This is an older title that has been reprinted by Dover in an inexpensive edition, and teaches 75 self-working tricks. ● Karl Fulves - Self-Working Card Tricks series. Each these books is chock full of over 50 self-working card tricks, and there are some gems like "Gemini Twins" to be found. ● Bob Longe - Card Tricks series. There are some good self-workers in his card magic books, which are geared to laymen. ● Garcia & Schindler - Magic With Cards. Has some good beginner material, including Paul Curry's famous "Out Of This World", and used copies are available cheap online. ● Roberto Giobbi - Card College Light series. These three titles (Card College Light, Card College Lighter, and Card College Lightest) are my top choice, and teach some of the best tricks, how to present them and routine them together. ● Roberto Giobbi - Introduction to Card Magic. This inexpensive 150 page ebook (link) includes half a dozen simpler self-workers, as well as teaching basic techniques of card handling. |

I like Endersgame's articles, they have some cool stuff listed and the Card college light books are a great start.
I have an old blog with some reviews and tips and stuff, mostly about self working stuff. It's a bit angsty and juvenile but you might find it useful in some parts, if I can remember the password I'll try and update it this week with a list of good self working books (I think there might be one there already) and also good self workers in otherwise non-self working books. Here anyway if you want https://pepsitwistmagic.wordpress.com/ |

Although not all effects are self working, John Bannon's "Dear Mr. Fantasy" is a must have!
