So let me see if I have this right... You have been a member on the Café for just a month. A week ago on March 16th your "thinking about writing a book"... one week later you have "written the book" and its done on March 23rd.
Either this was an intended and blatant sales pitch from the start which is an insult to regular members of the Café that you only see this as a sales opportunity, OR... how great of a book can it be if it was written in a week? Also, this is simply another book of how one did it themselves, their own experience, not anything written from an industry perspective. One's own perspective and experience is always a very limiting offering when compared to an industry written book. No thanks! |

Realistic math scenario:
I have performed in restaurants for approx. 17.5 years. (The future is in question ) Let's say I entertain 100 people (probably a lot less) for each restaurant during my time there. 100 x 4 restaurants = 400 people a week. 400 x 52 weeks in a year = 20,800 people 20,800 x 17.5 years = 364,000 people Sure the shows I generated from those restaurants adds a little but nowhere even close to what you claim as a person in the business for 7 years. All the best to you, but as Danny mentions, your claims are just not legitimate or remotley realistic. Unless you really are David Copperfield and lied about the length of time you've been in the business. You seem like a nice guy though.
Guilt will betray you before technique betrays you!

A very big problem that when people do things like this they don't see is it immediately calls into question EVERYTHING they say.
Once in the first few sentences you prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that you have... well let's say "a casual relationship with the truth", then literally everything you say from then on is in question. How much experience do you REALLY have? How much of the material is "really" yours? These questions arise simply because unsubstantiated claims that can not be backed up. In general this is done by guys starting out because they simply do not have the experience to back up what they are saying. If you do go forward with this, and since you have the pitch all done and you are ready to do so, I would delay sending it and remove ALL the bombastic bs in it. (Also stop using a capital Y in you.) Rewrite it from your perspective of only 7 years experience. Because the fact is that once a person spends 10 seconds on the million people claim, they won't believe your claims about money for a second. They will think they are over inflated. It turns off the reader. So now not only has the information been available for a LONG time in much better formats, such as free, you are making claims they won't believe. All in all I wish you luck with it. I am trying to help, as I believe was David and Mindpro. But doing it this way is not going to help you at all. Maybe just shift a few things like this and it might be a good offering.

So how is the book going? Sell a million yet?
Seems as if his only goal in being here was to sell his book.
