Levitate has no need to apoligize, as this was my mistake. Randwill, if you actually READ through the manuscript, you will see that EVERY move is covered by natural misdirection. I too, would appreciate it if you would stop posting the workings behind my effect. You doing this, plus buying an effect just to proove someone wrong really makes me think you have no respect for anyone, and have no ethics in magic. This is not here to be rude, or have a heated discussion, so if we can, can we please go back to people posting actualy reviews instead of debates like this? I respect your opinion-- you do not like it, that is fine as well, but tipping my method, that just does not fly. I will be adding the handling in the demo into the manuscript.
I am sorry if I came off as being rude in that post, but it really gets to me when people do this stuff-- not just to my effects, but others as well. Keep it real, James Watkins |

Randwill,
I would really agree with you IF it was impossible to pull this move off in front of the spectators. But heres the thing : its not. Like Peter stated, it should be in the reach of just an average magician. Normally I would agree when the cut portion was taken out to fool clients into buying the trick, then making it impossible for them to perform, making it impractical for real world situations. I think we can all agree this is a different case. Take care, Yousif |

If Randwill had not bought the effect, he would have been dismissed as 'not knowing what he is talking about' because he did not own the effect. Buying an effect just to 'prove' something is a little unusual though.
The demo looks great. I prefer demo's of actual performances of actual people rather than staged performances (i.e. penguin). I have disappointed in the past after buying an effect and then finding out it was a 'best case' outcome of the trick that was shown in the demo. I don't have enough information about this demo to make any judgement other than the effect looks spectacular, especially for the price. For me, and I guess I am your target customer (new to magic), I watch a demo not to desconstruct to avoid paying the 6 dollars but to see if I think I can pull this off in my world. Most tricks I buy I already know how they work before I get them. I study the demo to see how the experts cover their tracks and try and emulate them. That is what is great about this forum is you get discussion from all kinds of viewpoints. I can understand the inventor would love only great reviews but if there were no disagreements I become very leery. Surly not every magi is at the same level and likes the same type of effects. So let the pro and con about the EFFECT come forth, and not take everything personal. My 2 cents worth, Grant |

Thanks Yousif and Grant. Grant, I would like to tell you that the effect is VERY easy to do, and leaves a very big impression on your spectators, there are also, coming up in the new manuscript 8 alternates which you may find to be better for you.. Like for more natural misdirection.
Just so everyone knows, I have added the handling USED in the demo to the manuscript. I am also in the process of adding a lot of other stuff to it. Also Grant, I agree with you about the reviews.. If there are no bad reviews, well then, it must be real magic! I would love to see all good reviews, but I respect the fact that I will not, and that just makes me want to work just as hard on my future projects. I can respect the bad reviews, just not when they expose the working of the effect. And yes, like Grant said, can we please let the pros and cons of the EFFECT come forth. Keep it real, James Watkins |

Peter has a fair point about unscrupulous magicians scrutinizing the video for the method and thus not paying for what is a very nice routine/effect for laypeople.
At $6 - or just over £3 ober here in Blighty its a bargain (you pay more than that for post and packing at some places!) Was I put out that video didn't exactly represent the handling, yes, a little, however, and this is important, the effect does play very well for the audience, and you can't ask for more than that. - Paulie. |

Paul, I agree with you, but because of what has been said about the demo, I have included that handling in the manuscript. I think a lot of you will like the thought in that one. The actual RETAIL price of this is $15.00, so yes, it is a bargain. Another thing I would like to point out about it is that everything, all the moves, etc. were the ones I felt most comfortable using, so improvise, use your own crativity with it, and I can assure you that you will get something in return.
I would like to tell you all that the money I make from this means very little to me. The only thing I care about is that you are satisfied, and for some, I know they will not be, so I apoligize in advance, but everything cannot please everyone. Above all else, I just want you to go out, perform magic, if you use this GREAT, if not, that is fine as well, just have FUN performing. Keep it real, James Watkins |
