In a Face Book conversation today about the Black Fox Turtle shells I was asked about the stamp inside the shell. Mine says Black Fox (Bear Paw print), new line Colorado, USA and the other person's set is stamped Black Fox USA. Not a big concern as I've had mine for long time and wouldn't get rid of them for anything. Just curious if anyone here has the history on these shells.
Thanks, Warren

I'm not sure when the different imprints were used. First of all, they are probably not "stamped," per se. This is part of the mold. I'm not sure what process Frank used to cast his "shells," but I would guess that it was either a silicone RTV mold or a lost wax process. That's just a guess, though.
The new style set has the imprint with the paw print. My other Black Fox shells have the Black Fox USA imprint. However, I haven't been able to locate all of my Black Fox shells. I'll post an update when I locate them.
