In 1995, Running Press of Philadelphia published "Mark Wilson's Cyclopedia of Magic," an elfin edition of the original "Mark Wilson's Complete Course in Magic" (1975). The Running Press edition contained 638 small-scale pages, measuring 4.25" by 5.25" in size. Other than the change in dimensions and total pages, did the Running Press adaptation abridge the contents of the original 1975 edition in any way?

Hi John,
Its shortened version of "Complete Course". I would say that about 10 % of material is missing. Introduction and theory sections are rewritten (well there is no "theory" section in Cyclopedia). The chapter on "Double-backers" and the final chapter "Reputation Makers" are cropped from Cyclopedia. Otherwise these books are almost identical. Regards, Domas |

I have a 1988 hardback version of the Course which is also missing the Reputation Makers chapter.
