Woody Aragon has an audience participation effect called, "The Love Ritual by Woody Aragon". Only $14.95 for the instructions. Nothing is said about the draw back is purchasing a deck of cards for each member of the audience. Looks like it is a twist on an old Bob Ostin card effect, where the entire audience each get a set of 4 playing cards.

Only 4 cards used from a deck of cards, but everyone in the audience has to have the same 4 playing cards. This looks like a winner, but providing the cards is a huge drawback, depending on how large your audience is, as this can be done close-up or on stage.

You certainly know this trick has already been published in his "A Book In English" and described in is DVD set published by Luis De Matos. It was called "The Other Half".

You're right in saying that, watching the trailer you linked, is a bit misleading to anyone not familiar with the trick and its previous publications. It looks as if the trick would always end with the "prediction" satisfied. And you are right that in order to do so, you need to give all participants four cards, of which at least to need to be the same for everyone (I guess I do not have this latest video and I am not going to buy it!).

So just speculating here: I guess he explains the usual version of the trick, done with any four cards given to spectators, and then explaining some variants, ideas and different handlings he may have come up with later.

Maybe to end up as in the trailer you need to buy two one-way forcing decks, in order to do it with 52 people in total. I don't know.
Honestly I think the trick is great as it is, and that's the reason I often keep aside some old decks for ... and for Card Warp ...

You are misreading the description, each member of the audience gets four cards but the cards do not have to be the same. You can do the trick to thirteen people per deck. The piece that is left matches the piece that was earlier put in a pocket. This is for the original basic effect.

Yes, one way decks is a plus, but, you use to be able to ask for certain playing cards, that was many years ago. but for a number of years now, you have to take what they send to you. I think having a court card as the final match is a strong piece of magic with everyone having the same court card in the finale.

The prediction matching effect is a variation. The basic effect is the one that everyone is using for large audiences.

Penn and Teller have used the basic effect for years with their entire theater audience. In fact, they are the ones who called it "The Love Ritual". In A Book in English, Woody called it "How to Find Your Other Half".

I have this and it is amazing! It is completely self-working and you only need 4 cards for every person, which would be 1 deck for every 13 people. Woody gives a script and I really have no problems with it except that you need to memorise each of the actions to instruct the audience. I just demonstrate using my own cards and write instructions on the back of them, using the cards themselves as a crib.

If you look at Woody's video, he has every person in the audience has the same 4 cards. None are different then what Woody has in his hands. That is the shocking part of the trick.

So you do need more them one deck. As you only get one set of 4 cards per deck.

Again, that is for the variation. The original basic effect just has everyone finding the card that they put aside earlier and uses any four cards.

The produces amazing reactions from an audience and can be presented live and/or through Zoom if your participants have cards they don't mind ripping. Actually a "ripping" effect!
