Hey guys,

I'm a "Casino Magician" from Germany and I try to build a nice routine, which is all about Casino and it's games. For Poker it was easy to find exciting stuff, but I'm not satisfied on the variety of Card Trick on the topic Blackjack. I would really appreciate if you can help out and give me some ideas.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.
But before I have to check 100 books that I don't own for now, could someone tell me a Blackjack effect that you use and that is a worker for you and lasted the test of time?!

Servus! I recommend you to get Farmer's The Bammo Ten Card Deal Dossier. There are some tricks Ten Card Poker Deal style. The best for me its the Harlod Cataquet Stack. It is a sort of stack cut by the spectator but you "always" wins. Literaly: "This stack provides for an average of 9,15 dealer wins, 0,54 draws and 0,08 player wins". More than thirty pages about black jack.

Ich hoffe dir geholfen habe. Tchüss.

BlackJack players use Card Counting. A magician can pretend; pretend to have a photographic memory and use patter to go on about card counters. There are card tricks that appear to prove the magician has a fantastic memory which may fit the bill. Some of these tricks are more or less self-working; see Charles Jordan's best card tricks book for example.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

Yeah, sorry I thought we were talking about cheating techniques for blackjack, period. Not just techniques used in casinos. But yeah, card sounting adn gaffed shoes are pretty much the extent of my knowledge for cheating at the casinos, maybe chip shells too.

I'm not searching for a way to cheat, I'm searching for a blackjack magic card routing for casual casino environments. Like a ten card poker deal, just for blackjack.

Check Michael Weber's Killer 21, published in Operandi issue 1, page 23. An incredible routine based on s******* d***. Das ist ein hervorragender Trick!

A long time ago there was a thin book by Ron Ferris called "Ferris Wheels and Deals." I believe I recall some blackjack material in there. Not sure where it's available now; it is not on lybrary.com. I lost mine in a move.It didn't appeal to me, but I owned it. He must have been okay, because his name is next to Cervon's credit for the Rollover Aces effect! In a Spanish translation of an Ammar lecture while searching for Ron Ferris on lybrary.com just now.

By the way, this forum is not intended for magicians that do "gambling acts" or "gambling themed acts." But they do sneak in from time to time. Sometimes it's a veritable deluge.

Actually for the most part I think this is what this forum is all about, it is not about the latest moves and gaffs that are actually being used by professionals today.

This is a magician/hobbyist site...those who are interested in learning and demonstrating classic gambling moves and gambling themed moves, tricks and demos. After all, isn't this what Forte's two volume book is all about, the book that so many on this site have been fawning over and salivating about? If anyone thinks that book is about modern-day gambling techniques and methods that person is kidding himself. And what about the card tricks and routines in Forte's book. It is not about real modern-day gambling, although for what it does it is a very good book. So for the most part this site has very little to do with modern day gambling and techniques.

In fact, there is not any public site where professionals talk about and demonstrate moves and methods that are currently being used under fire on a professional level.

I'm sorta new to the Magic Café Forums and I pretty much only hang out in the gambling spot, and I have to say, you guys need to stop being so negative, just let people be. Seriously, I agree that magicians are magicians and "cheaters" are cheaters, but ElDan88 obviously came here to ask experts for their knowledge, leave him along, along with all the other "terrible" people. Now you're probably thinking, yeah but this is my art and magic is his art and magicians are stealing it from us, well I started out as a magician and then became obsessed with gambling stuff, now it's all I do. Plus, by saying those sorts of things you're disrespecting many great figures, such as Jason England, Darwin Ortiz, and many others.
