Not sure if Steve Cohen uses a D****** Handkerchief in this presentation but I love the presentation. I know Steve Cohen likes 'old effects' (I myself have just ordered copy of Greater Magic which I'm really excited to read). Is this presentation Steve's own or is it from an old book?

He is just moving the glass around from hand to hand and hand to sleeve. Of course the presentation is all Steve Cohen's. The foulard is just a hemmed cloth, that does not show wrinkles. |

I think I've found a cheaper solution where it wouldn't have to be placed in the sleeve and would be attached to the hand being able to freely move from hand to hand under the handkerchief. Maybe I need to take a bath...

I did not mean the glass was placed in the sleeve, if you watch closely, it looks like he places the glass on top of the back of his wrist. Watch when he grabs for it with the left hand.
One final thought, he may have a large pocket in the cloth, as when he begins talking to the spectator, his left fingers are entering the folds of the cloth for the glass. Cheaper, really, $25 is considered expensive. Well, a balloon cover will work as well. |

Ive experimented with a small rubber sink plug as a cover. This along with a round key chain ring would allow the shotglass to hang on a finger and can be transferred easily from a finger on one hand to a finger on another. Felt from above there would be nothing in the hands and the key chain ring would feel like a normal ring if it was touched. Interesting thought.

UKNeil, Just read my last post above, and noted, where I said left hand, and left fingers, I actually meant right hand, and right fingers. Some day I will learn my right from my left.
That is an excellent idea using a sink plug, do you know the late great Sam Berland invented the use of sink plugs as stopper that fit in small wine and shot glasses. He produced many effects using sink stops as gimmicks. Excellet thinking Neil. |

Bill, Can you recommend any literature those effects would be in?

Neil, Sam Berland sold his effects himself over the years. He was a Chicago, Illnois magician. He wrote seveal books with is effects. Later in his career, he owned a publishing company, but never stopped being a magician. After his death, his son published a book of many of his effects, this was a larger book. It sold very fast, I could not even get a copy. You just have to keep an eye out for his books. Magic Inc. in Chicago sold his final book.

The whiskey glass production that Steve does is the creation of my dear friend Tim Conover.
