Lately there have been a lot of these non-deck of cards "decks" on the market. Designer, photograph or picture cards that supposedly can do "even more" than a standard deck.
But once there are 3 or 4 of these on the market How do you chose? How do you spend your money wisely? That's why I'm here Here is an at a glance help sheet - followed by the link to each review: 1. The Gallery ($28) has about 20 effects included (with plenty of other ideas included for individual cards) Card faces are recognizable psy-forces Half black and white, half color - cards are MARKED for color on the back https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEX6k_a4elc 2. Photographic deck ($40) has about 8 tricks included in the basic set and 4 more in the expansion (with plenty of other ideas included for individual cards) Cards double for the standard deck A-K Half black and white, half color Cards are marked for suit and value on the back https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTNT7mPPCW4 3. Snaps ($40) and has about 12 effects included (with plenty of other ideas included for individual cards) Cards are mostly Numbers and Letters with some animals, psy-forces and esp symbols Cards are marked with "initials" to clue you in to the face identity https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PM4CkiFswno 4. Charades by Dan Ives & Alakazam ($38) 8 tricks included Cards are illustrations of pop culture Cards are marked on the back to read the face https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0S7323ZjhNo 5. CineMental by Nikolas Mavresis ($35) 1 routine Cards are original movie posters https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xma_cBmbJAI ................ MY OPINION I like several of these decks for "different" things that are unique to each one, but what I am finding is that the Photography deck can pretty much do anything you throw at it, including standard card tricks PLUS many of the tricks the "other guys" are selling. |
