If someone claimed they could locate a free selection using a borrowed, shuffled deck without ever looking at the cards, you'd call them crazy. If they then claimed it's possible because they've learned to track a shuffle using only SOUND, you'd call them even crazier. Manoj Kaushal must be bloody insane... because that's exactly what he did. Your back is turned the entire time and after a simple spread, you know exactly what card they chose. The spectator does all the work for you - It doesn't get any easier than that. No gimmicks, NO setup, NO key-cards, NO peeks or sleights, NO stacks or memorization and super easy to learn and perform. And you can download it RIGHT NOW!

He's had a not so favorable track record with his previous releases. Hope this one hits for him.

Took a chance on this. Too unreliable for this intermediate level hobbyist.

Yes, that's what I thought (I took one for the team too). Old principle - used differently for the main routine and more traditionally for the variation given. I couldn't get the main routine to work.

Thanks for the observations. Was tempted. I almost took a chance myself. I'm an intermediate hobbyist also.

I just took a look at this.
I think the presentation does a nice job of coving the method. As others have said, it’s not exactly 100%, but if you follow the instructions on the download, I imagine you can get it to work more times than not. It’s not a revolutionary method, but it is a nice take on an old principle. When it works, it’s certainly fooling. Madison |

Really long boring & confusing how many spectators are going to follow those directions ! I hate tricks like this just aweful but to each there own .

I kind of agree with tophatter on this.
Slightly ironic also that despite the name of the trick, unless you hit lucky with a layperson who actually does carry a deck of cards with them (?!?) this may be difficult to perform for the foreseeable future as no-one will want to touch your cards? A nice old principle, but unless I'm missing something it'd surely be relatively easy for an inquisitive spectator to work out what's gone on here? Just my thoughts. Best wishes to everyone. |

That was just hype, not useful info. The method doesn’t work for me, is too iffy.

Take a look at The PropDog Facebook Live Show - 5th June 2020 at 1:09:38.
Alex and Dave talk about the origin(s) for the trick and method. https://youtu.be/kcAvjxXN_q0 |

Hi Docguitarman,
I'm guessing it will be 'Buckle Up' in Scarne on Card Tricks. The trick in False Anchors is Special Gift. Best, HP |

It's the same underlying method, though used very differently to hide it some more. Note how the selected card is handled... and that should be your clue as to how it's "Buckle Up." It does look like this effect takes that effect further, and puts some routining around it that can hide the method some more. |

Unfortunately, after trying the trick out, I find it INCREDIBLY unreliable. Even if the spectator follows your every direction perfectly, you can occasionally have “false tells” which will make you think it’s a card other than the selected one.

Thanks everyone for the review and comments.
They are not only helpful in making a decision about buying the effect or not. I enjoy the discussions about the origin or history of the effect. It inspires me to study and buying the right stuf (mostly books ) |

After playing with it for an hour and hitting less that 10%, I'm done.
