Hello,
I am purchasing the 'visible sawing' illusion but I need to plan the BEST routine. Those of you who own the illusion, or a routine, could you please post them in and see which gives the best reaction.

Thanks

James

Check out the book by Chris Carey, The book is call,
Do The Stuff That's You #two. Look on page 44. The routine is call, "Saw in Half".

I performed a bow sawing yesterday, and used elements of Chris Carey's routine, especially his towel idea. It's a dinomite routine. Seek out the book that Emmett recommends.

Burling Hull also has a book called "Illusions for the 1,2,3 Performer Show" (published by Micky Hades Publications). That also has a bow sawing routine in it.

While different in impact that a jig sawing, some of the routining for a bow sawing can be very similar. What type of "visible sawing" are you referring to?

- Donald.

P.S. Gosman, it depends on whether you seek a jig sawing, or a bow sawing. A bow sawing is sold by Abbott's magic and also Bruce Chadwick illusions. I think that MAK magic makes a jig sawing, and it may be available at more dealers.

I agree with Donald. The jig saw is the cheaper way to go. Chalet Magic makes a nice unit (similar to what Jack Hughes made) where the case becomes the table.

For a true bow saw a la Harbin, the best is Owen's. It is price but not really when you consider all that is involved. This what Blackstone used. Harry's routine was solid piece of entertainment.

Sid Lorraine or Terry Seabrooke had a bit with a perferated paper under the person so when you are done "sawing" the paper is in two pieces.
