With a little change, John Bannon's "Sort of Psychic" could be a very direct and convincing think-of-a-card effect.
The Hummer's "Mathematical Three-Card Monte" principle, could be a good one too. Less impossible (only one in three), but you could repeat it few times. Regarding this principle, do you have some subtleties to enhance it? What your favourite published effect base on this principle? Other effects I really like on this plot, but less "pure": - Devastation - Emotional Reaction (and other hands-off key card effects) - The Truth-Telling Joker I have yet to try Ran Pink's "The White Room" and see if it is deceptive. What do you think about it? How do you use this principle? Did you tweaked it?
What would a real mindreader do?

I cannot see any review about this one. Could you please talk a little bit more about this effect?

The spectator thinks of any card, and this card is shown to be the only reversed card in the deck.
A gimmick-free Invisible Deck plot by Ernesto Melero that can be achieved through pure sleight. |

Hi Sam, I very interesting effect from Melero, indeed. But I don't think it is self-working, right?

Yes ipe. Melero's Invisible Deck requires a setup. It serves as a practical opener because the performer doesn't need to do a deck switch, which is required in the classic Invisible Deck. The performer can continue using the deck that was setup previously for a card trick or another mentalism effect.

Harold taylor had a great version of think of a card.it's listed on lybrary.com as MR.BONES...i have used it for decades.at the conclusion the audience is silent, baffled by the impossibility of it.easy, practical, give it a look...
God's grace rocks! It makes a good cups and balls routine look pretty boring in comparison.

A Card Merely Thought Of by Molim El Barch
The mentalist fans the cards in front of the spectator's eyes. It's a free choice. The spectator looks through the cards and chooses one only in their mind, while the mentalist faces away. After squaring the deck, the mentalist is able to reveal the thought of card with 100% accuracy. |
