The unit is silent and also self contained and table has nothing to do with the effect. It is in a ways similar to old methods but at the same time it is also something totally new. Cant say much more without really exposing anything.

Does your friend plan to sell/market this effect? If so, any idea of how soon?

This could be available from major dealer/dealers in the future. Depends if there is enough interest on something like this.

However, this is not something that could really be easily mass produced. They are made by hand one at the time. The author might be able to sell few of them directly at the moment. don't know details even about the final price but considering that Taiwan Bens O.R.C was about 250$, and this is more advanced, I woudnt expect this to sell for less.

The Taiwan Ben ORC would be worth the $250 if not for the fact that the gimmick is HUGE. I mean REALLY huge.

Your friend's Rising Card (as demonstrated in the video) doesn't appear that there could be a gimmick thicker than about 10 playing cards. If there is a gimmick in there and it's thicker than 10 playing cards, then there must be camera trickery.

If the rise gimmick is external to the deck then it must be IT and if it's IT then I'm not interested. IT and I don't get along at all.
