New review on Amazon. I love this review because the anonymous reviewer seems to dislike me (because I didn't accept a Facebook request), but loves the book! A bit of info: I don't typically accept friend requests on Facebook in order to keep my page private for close friends and family, but I guess the guy didn't respect that.

I wanted to give this book a bad review. I personally didn't care for rubenstiens performance style and I requested a him as a friend on Facebook since we had numerous mutual friends but he sent me a message I thought was rude. But as I dug into the book I was impressed. It is a masterpiece. I took my knowledge and skill to a whole new level. It is so well written and easy to understand. Tons & tons of photos . The history of each slight and the detailed descriptions are amazing. Maybe the best book ever written. Of course, everyone tells you to start with bobo but I would look say read hugards coin magic book first just to understand the basics. This book doesn't explain things like finger palm or simple slights. It assumes you know them. It is a super great book.

Someone just asked me how many of the routines in Rubinstein Coin Magic are done stand up, and without a table. I responded that almost all of my routines are standup, but with over 100 routines it would be hard to count all the ones (there are many) done in a walk around situation. It starts with techniques, his insights, the classics,... and that's only the tip of the iceberg. It follows with an orderly classifcation of tricks depending on the props you need to do them. It is full of references where you can check the origins of the techniques or tricks. It depicts techniques with some props (purses, cards&coins, okito...). In general, is a book that includes a whole life dedicated to coin magic. Thank you Kanawati! I wanted to give a reason for the clear coin, but not have people examone it because once examined, t looks just like a clever switch. This was, it is much more startling and more magical!

Is this book suitable for a beginner in coin magic? Or is this beyond basics and more intermediate/advanced level material?

Hi! You need to know the basic palms and have a basic knowledge of coin handling. Everything else is well explained, and some stuff is hard, but there is a lot of material for all levels of coin ability. Hope that helps. Somewhere in this thread is a list of the Table of Contents that you can look over.
