Hi!,
I'm Diane (but everyone calls me Dizzy),I'm 23 years old and originally Glasgow but I've been studyig in Cheltenham for about five years now. I work in TGI Fridays restaurant (so I get to practise lots of close-up/table-hopping magic to guests) and I'm hopefully moving to London during the summer on a transfer to one of our other stores. Not the most popular person at the moment as I've decided that I not going to back to university but I'm going to become an agent. Most people think its a terrible idea but it if doesn't work I don't own much so I won't loose much. I love mentalism but I don't delve to deep ito this area as I still like to be astonished. Andy Nyman and Banachek are fantastic performers in this area and I was lucky enough to see some of Luke jermays work at the Leeds convention which just blow me away, so I was sad not to see him last week. I also love comedy magic as it reminds me that magic is there to entertain us when things get a little heavy. I try not to have a favurite magician as I try to respect a performers work rather than just the performer, but Eugene Burger is amazing. The only magic I'm not too keen on is biazzar magic(k)! however I did like channel 4 Magick. Already have lots of questions to ask and look forward to it, Dizzy |

CAUTION!!! If you do not complete your education first you might never have the chance to do it later. As we grow older the natural course of events brings about obligations like car payments, furniutre, rent, and Oh yes FOOD. When the financial obligations are too strong one can't "afford" to go back to school. Re-think your decision, a few years at this stage is nothing, while later a few years could be impossible.
I made the decision of not completing my education first and now I feel like I had my head in dark places. It was a stupid decision for me.

I agree and disagree with Richard Lucas. You don't have to go back to university but I would strongly suggest if you want to become an agent to do at least a small business management course, an events management course and a Sales and marketing sourse through a local college.
Education is not something that ever ends (this is where I disagree). You shouldn't complete your education first because education can never be completed. If you read one book a month about (whatever - Being an agent or running a business or investing) you will be one of the top agents in your area in a very short time. Important is to apply what you read. Have another cup of coffee on Andy. His bill is on 3 cups now. LOL |
