Hello everyone
I was recently given some old magic (very exciting) however there is one prop which I have never seen before. It consists of three solid wooden conical type blocks, and one 'tortoise'. Does anyone have any idea what this is? Many thanks Jesseb Click here to view attached image. |

If your tortoise is code for a s**l, than it looks like you have a version of "Chink-a-Chink," https://www.martinsmagic.com/product-tag/chink-a-chink
This is usually done with 4 blocks in 4 corners, magically collecting under one of the corners. Yours looks like it may be missing a block, and possibly handmade.

@Wizard of Oz thanks so much!!! I know of a coin chink a chink but didn't think of one with other objects... that's definitely it. They look very similar to the ones used in this Fred Caps video... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfYGnD8uAQw
One does appear to be missing, I might find it yet or make a duplicate. Thanks so much again! I'd been wracking my brain. |

If you do end up making the missing block, and performing the effect, the blocks resemble plugs used to seal up the holes on the outside of wood sided houses when insulation is sprayed into the walls.
https://www.google.com/search?q=wooden+i......81&dpr=2 The plugs from our insulation job (our house is a century home), are wider in diameter and thinner, but the reference may still be a starting point for a story line... "Please take a look at these wooden plugs taken from an old, rumored to be haunted house, after the current owners decided to refurbish it. The odd thing is, the wooden pieces don't like being separated from the house. As a matter of fact, they can't even stand being separate from one another. Here, let me demonstrate..."

Thanks so much! Great idea...
I'm just going to keep this going as there are a few more obscure ones. Any idea what this is guys? Two pieces of plastic, white and red, the red has 5 holes in it. Images at these links: https://ibb.co/4NyDQMR https://ibb.co/9YKQx7J |
