Hi folks! Is there anyone who can offer any tips on dulling needles so that they aren’t so sharp? Thank you!

Question: Why would you want to dull needles? What are you using them for?

Matthew Parots' Geek Magic Cookbook goes over it well.

Ooooh, is "Pins and Needles" a geek magic routine? I didn't realize he was asking about a specific effect.

I assumed he was referring to the physical objects, pins and needles. In the Geek Magician's Cookbook Matthew goes over how to prepare those to make them safer, if you feel the need to do so (For instance, if your spouse tells you that you are not allowed to do a particular routine without dulling said items).
It's not entirely necessary if you are careful, but it's also not at all a bad idea. Bizarro also goes over an effective way to dull razors in Helter Skelter, and with just a tiny bit of thought that technique can also be applied to needles.
