The effect on the Puchinger site is performed on a table with a box. The magician stands inside the box and lifts it to his waist to show both feet. The box is lowered and raised again this time the left foot is gone. This is repeated and the right foot is gone. A third time both legs are seen to have vanished.
It is basically the same effect as Copperfield performed on the beach with a towel, but with more apparatus. |

Sounds exactly like Andre's "No Feet." I wish I could view the video. If I understand the web site correctly, Puchinger is building this illusion and selling it. If it is a copy, it will be interesting to see if he received permission from Andre to do so, or even credits Andre, as David Copperfield did/does.

Can't imagine Puchinger is copying this without permission...
He also has a "Suspension Ring", a "Ladder Levitation", and various other "protected" illusions listed. May be worth checking out. |

Can this illusion really be done solo, with the magician lifting up the box? I could've sworn that it called for two assistants to lift the box, one on either side.
Can anyone confirm this for me?

I made a mistake when I said the Puchinger illusion sounded exactly like Andre Kole's. I realized it after I read Corey K's question about doing this as a one man illusion. I then went back and checked Lee's description and realized that he stated the magician lifts the box.
If the Punchinger presentation is done only by the magician without any assistants, the presentation is different from Andre's. Andre does perform his "Twister" without assistants. He pulls up a barrel around himself and the upper half of his body revolves 360 degrees while his legs remain facing the audience. By the way, there was a discussion on "No Feet" a while back at the following link for those of you who are interested. http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......;forum=7 Terry

On the Puchinger site there used to be photos of this illusion, but they seem to have been removed.
Yes, it is performed solo. |

The angles for NO FEET are pretty good but it can't be done surrounded. It's not an effect that can easily be done as a one person illusion.
