I used Square for a business I owned and they are great to have as a vendor. Their payment processing is outstanding as is their customer service. If I start another business I would definitely use them again.

A number of magian lecturers have used it for selling ther product. Never had a problem. It's nice to get the email receipt.
We use it at craft fairs and it works well. |

I've had a good experience using Square so far. I recommend getting their business debit card as well as you save on transfer fees by having one.

There are two types of readers. One that plugs into your phone and can only read the magnetic strip off a card. But it doesn't require any battery.
They use to have a plug in reader that could read strips or chips. But I don't see that any more. Instead they now have a reader that connects thru bluetooth and can take chips or wireless (Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc) You do have to charge it, but supposed to last all day (the old small one would last us 10 hours of constant use).
