I recommend: https://www.abebooks.com/

It's a site that connects you with virtually every independent second-hand bookseller that's out there.

Https://usedmagic.myshopify.com/ Was recommended to me. Never bought anything there tough, so I cant say if its good or not.
Are you looking for the actual physical copies or are you also interested in PDF downloads?(They are usually way cheaper)

Byron Walker maintains a rather mind-boggling collection of new and used magic books for sale. He has a website, but as he deals almost exclusively with private collectors, his stock changes quite quickly; consequently, you should e-mail him with queries about particular titles for which you may be searching.

He doesn't do marketing, newsletters, etc., but every serious collector knows him well.

The problem with Abe is that it was bought out by Amazon so it's now cluttered up with junk and the greedy parasites at Amazon take a percentage for every book you buy. I use it to find books and then contact the seller direct.

Theres a facebook group that specialises in buying and selling of old magic books. Forget what it's called but looked on there a few times and they have some good books for sale.

Very good question. I personaly use https://www.bookfinder.com/ which aggregate results from various website (including abebooks), take shipping cost and conversion to your currency into account to display a list of sellers and price.

I've bought a few things from Don at https://usedmagic.myshopify.com this year.
He is responsive via email and was easy to reach by phone when I had a question.
Good luck in your search.

That group is Magic Book Swap and Sell. It is very active--far more active than the bookselling forum on the Café is now. Another FB group that gets a lot of books bought and sold is Surplus Magic Exchange.

If you are looking for something specific, set up a saved search on eBay for the title without specifying a subject area. It will email you any new matches each day. This can net you some awesome deals from folks who might post a book in the wrong section (many laypeople who are selling off stuff they run across do not realize there is a section on eBay specifically for selling magic books because it is wedged under collectibles for fantasy and magic rather than in the book area). I have gotten killer deals this way.

Is your interest in second-hand book shops to hopefully find a bargain?

One thing that particularly endeared me to Don's Magic & Books is how he came to be in the "book business"--he helps retiring magicians & family estates to sell their collections. I've found some gems there that I'd been searching for (Mentalism Inc 1 & 2 and some excellent ESP cards).

I asked that because second-hand sellers aren't always the best source for bargains. You can blame the internet for that. Some of the magic dealers periodically have some good deals on new books (Hocus Pocus, Magic Warehouse and a few others. The Café has a selling section where you can get some bargains. With ebooks you don't have to worry about shipping.

I second that Bradbury Books is a good source, especially since books that haven't sold are reduced by 10% the next week. Sign up for his email list, if you haven't already (email link is at his website). http://www.bradburybooks.com/
