Fellow gaffers,

For those interested in making tactile markings, I've developed a technique for making a rough textured patch on the back of a card.
The intention was to create markings that are easy to feel, in order to perform the punch deal.

I've filmed a video detailing how the work is put in, which is available from lybrary.com.

The tools required are not expensive and, once put in, the work will last for the lifetime of the card.

You can see a close up image of the work on my website.

Hopefully this will be of interest to some of you,

Will this help when using an actual Pin Pegger (Eoin O'Hare type) or a Blistr (Lybrary's product)?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Poof-Daddy,

Hope you're well Smile

The intention for boss work was to be used in place of other work, such as with a pin or Blistr device.
However, if you want something to practice with that's easy to feel, then boss work could serve as a precursor to moving on to other work.

Also, the second part of the video goes through the mechanics of the punch deal, from a more general perspective.
There are a number of tips and some drills that I found useful when practising; these are all equally applicable to other forms of tactile marking.

Hope this helps,
