Dear All,
I want to share the ring & rope and rope routines which I composed with a lot of magical elements from the masters: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4jjQqZW9Ic BR Patrick |

Most are very usable - others, not so much. Of course, with a lay audience you would only use 3-4 at most in a sequence.
Which ones? Ah - that is always a problem when you work so hard. Kudo's on recognizing the potential of many of these effects.

Unfortunately, the ones we like personally because they are more clever, mysterious, impossible, etc.
is rarely what a lay person gets excited about. It may depend on what comes before and after - what the expectations of the spectators are. I have always loved ring/rope effects and use some as lead in to my Linking Heart routine. At a teach-in for disabled kids connected with the Vanishing Wheelchair Project I talk a single Ring/Rope effects. Everyone loved it, practiced and took it home - including the nurses and two other magicians. It is not one you do, though. Write me ken@eversway.com if you like. The point is, sadly, here is a case where less is more ...
