I want, ideally, something I can take apart but can also go through a warm clothes washer and dryer, still stuck together. Just in case I leave the cards in my pocket and they make it through the wash. Any ideas?
That was funny! Smile Smile

There's a story about a magician carrying around a set of gaffed cards in his shirt pocket on hot summer day. When he got home he found the cards has soaked and split. That's just what happens to paper.

And if you use plastic they may melt in the dryer.

Forgot about 3M Super 77, which also works great. It adheres well, and like rubber cement will still allow the cards to be flexible.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

Nobody has mentioned splitting the cards before gluing them together,
Bally Hoo and Hullabaloo

There is a "2 Way Glue" called ZIG (available online) that has the advantage of being either 'Permanent' or 'Temporary' (like a Post-It) depending on whether you use it wet or allow it to dry. I use it on envelopes so that they can be opened but then resealed for another performance. Not cheap but certainly versatile.
