Even though I just used the words 'self-working,' this book should appeal to both new users and experienced practitioners alike, because you can grow with the book. As you learn other sleights, you can implement them into the routines to make them even more deceptive, but you don't need to! If you can read and follow instructions, you're ready to go with this book!
