Not very clear what this is from the description.
I guess you have to ask the helper to go to a Passscode checker website to see how popular their passcode is? They enter it and you can then reveal it. |

Aren't people on red alert when being asked to enter their private details into dodgy websites?

Martin - I imagine that if you were to ask for their real pin code sure, but I would use this with a made up pin code.
That said, I purchased this a while ago and have not used it once. Things I dislike about it are the design of the website that you send your participant to to test their passcode strength. It just looks odd to me, especially on a PC as the site looks to be best suited for someone on a mobile device. The selling point for me was that you would be able to do a booktest virtually, but I don't use that either as the method used is not what I expected and a method I'm already using for another divination and don't want to use the same method twice in one set. I'm just not confident that this would fly for a real audience. If the website was updated and looked better that would possibly help. But it just stands out like a sore thumb to me. |

Who takes their pc out to do a magic trick and you obviously have not got a routine to pull it off ,

I perform my show virtually these days, which means that the participants are often sitting on front of PC. It would make sense to direct them to the website and do the work, however the website does not look that great on the PC. When performing in person there are a myriad of other, also more fooling ways to go about doing a pin reveal that are better and don't require technology to be at play at all. This simply doesn't solve any problems, or improve upon the effect. In fact it has a few limitations when compared with more traditional methods.
The participant must have their phone on them The participant must be directed to a website The website the participant is directed to looks fishy and not like any well known cyber security website The performer must have their phone In a real world performance a !@#$* or ***K works much better. The main selling point for me was the book test idea, but again I think that falls short. The method is nothing new, and if you are going to use that particular method why limit the choices to so few? Also they don't really seem random at all if you cycle through a few times you'll see what I mean. The idea is interesting, but the execution is lacking. The draw was to be able to use it in a virtual show so I took a gamble that didn't pay off. As far as in person performances I don't see any advantage over a standard ***k or *****e. I do think that the website wasn't as fishy looking it may be usable with a little work. But for me, as it stands, it's a junk drawer purchase. |

So there has been some improvement to this. The website looks a lot better, even on desktop. Still looks way better on phone, but on desktop it's not too bad. And the creator just released an actual app rather than the web-app (although the web app had things I liked a lot better, such as the telegram notifications). I just wanted to come back and say that this has seen enough improvements that I'm not as hesitant to perform it. At first iteration I wasn't a fan, but with the improvements I will be testing it in my virtual shows and see what kind of mileage I can get out of it.

Basic script idea:
“Because I have this ability to know someone’s passcode and even their password I decided a long time ago to not reveal this information for legal reasons. What I do now is, I have someone create an imaginary password or passcode. For example, think of someone from your past, maybe someone from school, someone that I couldn’t know. Then think of a number that means something to you and combine those two to create an imaginary password”. |

Think twice before you spend your money. The app comes with no instructions, and those who manage the Facebook users’ group ignore all requests to join. So far this looks like a rip-off, pure and simple.

Do you even know what your application page says? It asks us to input (twice, on two identical forms) our "Activation Code."
What the heck is an activation code? The app tells us our "Passcode Checker User ID" number. Is this the same as the "Activation Code?" How are we supposed to know this? Either send me the *** instructions for using the app or refund my money. Otherwise you're a crook. Nothing more. |
