I think it's great that people are thinking beyond the initial trick and making it better. A friend of mine had made it a 4 way out which is nice.
That still doesn't excuse the fact that this is a poor release and the trick as published is simply not worth the money. |

It seems a lot of money given you can replicate the effect with just your credit card , a key and smart phone . Where the credit card and key have no ou** on them and the phone is not using a magic app or mul** ou** in the sense of various media options , what’s app , messenger , Twitter etc .
No wallet , NW etc Andrew |

I am new to this type of magic and Contactless is definitely a good place to start. The three cards that I selected: An old useless Visa card, Library card, and my REI membership card. Each card tells a story about me that makes it easy to say what needs to be said with confidence. My biggest challenge is when some people have a need to snatch the card instead of pointing to the card, they have what I call Monster Grubby Hands.
Any ideas on how to use crowd control techniques to get them to Point to the card instead of grabbing the card? |

If you ask the spectator to point to a card, most will do as you ask. If you are worried that you might have a 'grabbie' spectator, a simple technique would be to ask them to hold out their hand palm down, take a deep breath in and out, then make a fist with their hand. Ask them to extend their index finger and slowly go backwards and forwards over the cards until they feel the urge to stop on one of them. This should dull their urges to grab at the cards - remember you are performing a piece of mental magic, not a flashy card trick, so slowing down the pace can help. Alternatively you could remove the folded bill from your wallet, and ask them to hold it in their hand, hover over each card in turn, and stop over which one they like. That way they are holding the prediction if the stop on the right card, or keeping their hands occupied with something else if they are not.
On the subject of grabbie spectators, I am a working pro, and seldom come across this problem with strangers, most appear to be more socially conditioned not to grab at stranger's things - particularly if you're using bank cards or licences, however it can be quite common if showing things to friends and family, where there aren't the same barriers. Hope that helps a little. |
