Hi all,
What do you all find the best method for training your rabbit to be comfortable in its production box and at a childrens show? How do you get them used to the noise of screaming children? What rewards do you find they like best? Thanks James |

Hello James,
Parents don't even get used to screaming children! LOL Actually, rabbits tend to like people and attention and are somewhat like cats. The bad news is most will ultimately bite. They are gnawing animals. You didn't say much about the "production box". But around kids, I like to have the bunny in the Daggar Livestock vanish (Jail) with the front door out. Thus, the rabbit has a safe place where she won't get mashed (a kid hazzard!) but can be enjoyed from the front grids and the box can even be passed around. The current rabbit likes cabbage better than carrots. At home I use corn kernals but I would never let a child chance that bite exposure. Carrots are longer! Good Luck! Bob Magic By Sander |

Bob, Most will bite humans or wood? I would like to think it would be wood. I know mine has attempted to scratch my wife with his front paws but no biting as of yet. Wayne

OK shout and scream at me I am waiting.
Miss a meal maybe two then practise with it and only feed it in the box. Do this twice a week then just put ot in the box perform the effect once and feed it once a day or once every second day. It connects the box eventually with getting fed so it only thinks of food in the box. I do that with my squirrel. It literally ignores everything and just waits for the sunflower seeds and nuts. Being quiet and then being pulled out of the prop means food and I am working on getting it tame enough so I can get the children to feed it. As for what Bob Sanders said Yes they bite. I hate rabbits |
