The tricks look good!
https://www.penguinmagic.com/p/14805 "An amazing project. Definitely pick this up." - Joe Rindfleisch “If you want to perform rubber band magic on social media, you should check Rubber Hysteria from Josh Burch. It contains material which every fan of rubber band magic will enjoy.” - Hanson Chien Rubber Band magic has some of the most visual effects you can perform close up. Building on the work of Joe Rindfleisch, Josh Burch has created seven effects where a single rubber band does impossible things. This is Rubber Hysteria. In this collection of elastic magic, rubber bands jump from hand to hand, from your hand to a spectator’s hand, and even magically pass through your fingers in incredibly visual ways. You’ll learn not only how to perform them, but also all of the details that go into making these effects play huge for your audience. Included Effects: Transmutation 2: Joe Rindfleisch’s favorite sequence in this project. A rubber band wrapped around your fingers visually jumps to your thumbs that are locked together. Nuclear Ninjitsu: A rubber band wrapped double around fingers on your left-hand jumps to fingers on your right-hand with just a chop. Stanley Collins: A new take on the classic rubber band jumping between two fingers that looks like the original Stanley Collins effect but on steroids. Retro-Mutagen: A rubber band wrapped around two flat hands passes through the lower hand to become wrapped around just one hand. Arrhythmia: A new take on Hansen Chen’s touch, the rubber band jumps from your hand to a spectator’s hand while over your heart. New Band Through Thumb: In one of the most visual and impossible moments of the entire project, a rubber band wrapped twice around the spectator’s thumb passes through to be then wrapped around the spectator’s finger. You have to see it to believe it. The material in this project ranges from the extraordinarily easy to the more challenging. You’ll also learn some new concepts that you can add to your own effects. These pieces can be added to anyone’s rubber band repertoire almost immediately. This is Rubber Hysteria by Josh Burch |

Looks like some require sleeves.

Like many rubber band effects you could just wear rubber bands on your wrist with a short sleeve shirt. I have also used a watch in the past. With a long sleeve shirt I can use one or two bands and be fine. For the band through thumb you do not need sleeves at all. There is a little bit of a setup you have to perform on the fly. I go over several approaches on how to cover the move, how to break it up so it's less suspicious, and how to set yourself up for an offbeat. These challenges pop up with many rubber band effects when I put a lot of thought into them. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to me directly and I can try to guide you through any troubleshooting. |
