The WSOP Site
Here are some interesting observations on the WSOP site available to the State of Nevada, New Jersey and Delaware residents for online cash play. This is the only "legal" site available to residents of the US to play poker online. Of course, there are other off-shore "extra-legal" sites they can play on, but how much protection they afford seems moot. As of today, Jan. 3, 2021, the most active games on the WSOP site are the tournaments, and there is an abundance of tournaments. Entries range from free tournaments on up to $2,000 and everything in between. Most of the play and excitement is in the tournaments. Sit and Goes are pretty much dead because it appears this type player gravitates more to the tournaments. The second most poplar category are the straight Hold'em games which range from games played for pennies (1/2cent blinds), on up to 25/50 cent blinds, so these are primarily smaller games. Aside from that the fixed limit Hold'em, Stud and Omaha games are all but non-existent. Of course this site becomes much more active during the WSOP tournaments but right now, except for tournaments, the site is pretty much small play. Anyone have a different take or commentary on this? |

Not sure why anyone other than addicts play online, it just doesn’t compare to the experience of a real game at all.

I never have but I have been tempted to do so in this lockdown. There is no prohibition on it here in England.

I used to play online frequently in the past because I had no nearby casino to play at regularly. It's better than not playing at all...and the winnings are just as real. |

How do you know when you have won? I will tell you how you know when you have won. You know when you have won when you get paid. Now, there are plenty of players who thought they had won but who have not been paid by online poker sites. So the idea that the winnings are just as real is not necessarily so. Mind you, the loses are just as real.
