I'm probably gonna purchase Shoot's Ninja Ring routine and was wondering if I could get by using the 5" cheapos? for both shoots and Dan Fleishman's routine.

I use the cheapo rings and it works for me.
I'm on my second set already, however. The start to ding up and chip. Once the rings have the chrome chipping off, it's time to get a new set , I think. Or someone might think they see something peculiar. Frank

I used the cheap-o rings and during a performance one broke at the seam. NOT GOOD. I bought the actual ninja rings which have no seams, are nickel plated, and the ends of the key are rounded/beveled making the penetrations much easier and more incredible looking.

I have heard that the "cheapo" rings are the Ninja Rings, originally from a children's magic set except that in Japan the Cheapo rings are good quality.
There are some higher quality magic sets sold here in the U.S. that may have a small set of linking rings that would suffice, not sure if it would actually work out to be cheaper. I almost bought one of those sets on closeout when Zany Brainy went belly up here in the Twin Cities. Unfortunately greed took over and I waited for just one more mark-down before buying and as you might guess all the sets were snapped up pronto.
