Unless you are female or have finger nails like one you aren’t doing the signed cube in bottle that easy. Even Henry says that himself in the tutorial as he knows from his own experience. He grew his especially to achieve the signed cube part which is not essential to achieving a miracle imo Gaz 😊

That’s exactly what I said with regards to a non signed version it’s a miracle anyway imo.
The signed cube version if you don’t want to use your finger nails is not as good and clean, otherwise why bother with the finger nail version in the first place Gaz 😊 |

When I watched Henry demo the signed tile method I imagined myself attempting that under the gun with all the heat on and knew immediately that I would convert it to the Isolated method for sure. I wouldn’t be surprised if Henry uses that method too when done for real buy didn’t feel it was his to teach.
Having said that, for how I intend to use this I won’t be having the cube signed anyway, so it is a moot point. |

The major advantage is not requiring a bag for cover, so it may be fine for parlor/stage/video. |

I have magical gift and it’s very good. If you don’t want to do it the open you can use a bag and the bag can big given out before and after if you choose. You have the choice of both with magical gift and the fact you can show the cube on all six sides at the start and even turn it as it is a modified real cube is an advantage imo (and shows subtlety that is already shown it’s examinable). They are both very good cube effects though, but Cubesmith is truly unbeatable and is the ultimate effect for me Gaz 😊 ps the magical gift cube can be examined in the jar too if you put it in correctly. I wouldn’t be giving Henry’s away after the performance either so that’s a non issue for most

They can’t keep it with that one I don’t think. Also the gimmick wears out I heard. It’s less practical I think

Gaz and I agree on many products but we disagree on the Gift. I returned mine almost immediately, and it still may have already broken by then. It’s noisy and cumbersome and doesn’t look at all magical to me. It is junk IMO.
Going into the jar right out in the open with no cover required sounds great on paper. But when you see it (and hear it) it’s not at all like a magical penetration of solid thru solid, you’re obviously cramming it thru the top of the jar which is exactly what you are doing. If anyone can present this in a truly entertaining way then my hat is off to them. If you’re genuinely interested then search the Café and there is a video that demonstrates and explains it. I consider the Gift more of a toy a child might play with but a child would break it in about 30 seconds. Personally, I will stick with Henry’s CIB. Or if you can’t quite afford Henry’s then get Rubik Gone or Rubik Go. I think you’ll get more use out of those. |

I think they are both good Bill and infact Henry used to perform magical gift long before he bought out CIB. Therefore it can’t be that bad, mine is made of 3 layers that magnetise together well and when pushed into the jar will always line up due to the polarisation of the magnets. With CIB you are doing exactly that in the spectators eyes pushing a cube into a jar under cover. The spectator obviously thinks it must fit in there somehow whichever method you use that’s why my favourite effect of any cube effect in existence is Cubesmith by a massive margin

If you're referring to the TV appearance he did years ago, then it's not Magical Gift he's using in fact it's a completely gimmickless version designed specifically for TV - I know this as Henry showed me the workings of his routine and it's very fooling. The problem with Magical Gift is that you can't really hand it out as it can't be inspected and very pricey of you did. It's a very nice toy though. |

Henry mentions it either in the tutorial or his interview with David Penn or Craig Petty. Kind regards Gaz 😊

You can't hand this out at the beginning or show all 6 sides. You can hand magical gift out at the end if you insert it in the bottle correctly.
That being said you don’t really need to as you can show a cube and plus an empty bag and a jar that can be examined, place them in the bag if you want cover and put the cube in the real jar. The bag can be examined before and after as can the jar. With CIB you cant examine the jar at the start or the cube at the start and the bag at the end. As I said they both have their place and are great, but Cubesmith blows them both into oblivion imho Gaz 😊 ps yes I can say a lot of things with certainty as buy pretty much anything decent that comes along including all of these and I pretty much have every single release of Henry’s and one item x2 |

Not to belabor the point but I just hate to see someone buy The Gift because they think it goes into the bottle just like Henry’s but with NO COVER. Like I said before, that sounds great but watch someone do it and you’d likely be disappointed, and if you buy it you’d be really disappointed.
Gaz, since you have said more than once that The Gift has its place, I would love to know where that place is. Well, you can probably guess where I think that place is 😃 but I’d love to see how you use it Gaz. Share a quick video please. I’m open-minded, maybe I didn’t give it a fair shot. |

I have mixed feeling about The Gift too. Sound is one problem, and it takes some time to put the cube in. If you want it to be examined after, it takes more time. Also, you need some kind of cover. The good things about it are that you use one cube and one jar.

Ok Bill I will send you an email with a video of how I put the cube in the jar in magical gift. Infact I will send you 2, 1 open with no cover and 1 in the bag. Give me a week as I have been 400 miles from my home seeing my little 2 year old Daughter so I will film it next weekend. To be fair Erlich Zhang does it pretty good in the tutorial, if you think that tutorial plus add a paper bag and you will see how easy it is. Even I can do it very well Gaz 😊

Anyone can put a cube in a jar, given enough time - especially under cover. The magic is when it instantly penetrates into the jar - cover or no cover.

Really Patrick? I don’t think so unless you take it all apart and spend 10 minutes over it. I can do it in well under 5 seconds with Magical gift and so can Erlich Zhang. Have you actually seen anyone of these effects actually done live? Regards Gaz 😊
