Hey all,
Hope you're well 😊 My moving hole effect, Hole-Some, just released today on Penguin. Not a fan of hype, so I'll just say that its my impromptu solution to the plot, so no maintaining or potentially losing gimmicks. Can be done Shuffled Deck in Use 👍 No method is for everyone, but I think this has some nice advantages may be worth checking out. Trailer: https://www.penguinmagic.com/p/15495 |

Couldn’t really see what was happening during the first phase, and then the second phase seemed like it could be pretty obvious to a spectator. I mean, you don’t have to have a PhD to understand that when you turn a card over what was once the upper left corner then becomes the upper right corner.

"Unfortunately" you can see how the whole routine works because in the beginning there are a lot of flashes that give away the method for free...

I a agree with everyone here. I also think the demo was horrible and confusing.

Maybe the Penguin video didn’t do it justice, but here is a closer look at the effect from Kyle’s IG:
https://www.instagram.com/p/CK1ird5FRYR/ I think it’s great, super clever method and completely impromptu. He even teaches a wonderful impromptu TnR as a bonus using the same concept for those instances where you don’t want to carry a hole punch. |

I don't want to sound negative but If the demo flashes either the creator hasn't practiced enough or the method is too awkward to do cleanly.

Agreed that the videos don't look good at all.

I thought this was a pretty creative solution to an impromptu moving hole effect. A bit of Ray Kosby's Smudge mixed with Paul Harris' penchant for discrepancy that breezes by a muggle.

I really think he should slow down in the videos.

Wow, that Penguin trailer is really horrible - hard to conceive how they decided to put something like that up on a product page. The instagram clip is significantly better, but even there I feel it's a bit too confusing a routine (especially in terms of specific hole placement at various points during the effect).

Agree with the others. Couldn't see (as in the effect) what was going on in the 1st phase and the the 2nd phase seemed blatantly obvious.

I agree, way too hard to follow. I had to watch it a couple times to see what was going on.

Quite often, spectators, clients or friends tell me: "It's sad that you don't have more videos on your Instagram showing your tricks". And I'll tell you why, because my magic is 90% audience management. And I don't want people scrolling through my instagram, pausing videos, slowing down just to spot when the misdirection happened and the move was done. My magic works in real life, not so much on camera. Sorry. Well, what I want to tell is : This trick is fantastic. It Is a beauty. I'm sure this FLY for real spectators, and the second phase fool layman for SURE. I can see myself using this tabble hopping for sure. An amazing trick in real life for real spectators. Olivier Boës

What a totally unnecessary video Kyle. You are a stand up guy and I love your authenticity. While I didn’t understand the box at first, my mind went right to patter like a hole being a kid that stepped in concrete and the guy had to pave it or hole in the ice that the Zamboni (is that the word) had to roll over. Thanks for adding to the art.
