Max had to have a second surgery. Richard Kaufman spoke with Max about a week ago, they reportedly FaceTimed for a couple of hours. Max is still hospitalized and fighting some infection but, more recently, Richard posted that Max is doing much better.

This from Richard Kaufman:
“ I am happy to report that Max Maven is doing very well, coming home after a stint in rehab. He is starting additional treatment very shortly. He is in good spirits. Happy thoughts and healing wishes can be sent to me at moobooks@verizon.net and I will forward them to him. He IS reading his emails.”

Max just posted this a short while ago:
“ After weeks of bouncing between hospitals and rehab clinics, I was allowed to move back into my apartment. I’ve also, at long last, started two therapy programs, chemo and radiation.Thus far, I have not had bad reactions to either ―although I am braced for difficulties with both. It seems that slowly but surely, with help from many, I may be headed in a good direction.”

Glad Max is back at home and on the mend. Rebounding may be a process but I wish Max the best as I am confident he can conquer the task and be back and strong as ever. Strength, commitment, and amazement - that is what I always think of about MAx and what will get him back in the spotlight soon.

Max is home and working on several writing projects, including the new chapter on Mentalism for Greater Magic.

Max has been in and out of the hospital, then rehab. He's now home again and undergoing treatment.
