1. Dai Vernon - Revelations set ( I don't care wether youre a juggler, a magician or a mentalist. You will refer to this time and time again!)
2. Richard Osterlind - Mind Mysteries (the first one is still the best, but all are good!) 3. Live at the Jailhouse DVD set (Yes, a DVD on presentation and selling yourself is always useful!) 4. Michael Ammar ETMCM set (Still great, great teacher!) 5. David Roth Expert coin magic set (THE set for learning coin magic!!) 6. David Stone Secrets of magic 1 7. Daryl - Encyclopedia of Card Sleights set 8. Richard Osterlind ETMMM (yes I'm a Osterlind freak, so what!) 9, Bill Malone -ON the Loose 1,2,3,4 10. Tommy Wonder - Visions of Wonder set I think all these DVD's stood the test of time. No wonder why everybody keeps naming them and refering back to them! |

If you'll allow me some VHS along with DVDs...
- Gregory Wilson: "on the spot" and ring and string... great commercial close up, well explained - Michael Ammar: "Money Magic"... well explained and unique practice sections - Aldo's tapes: Just a great variety of caberet and close up - Salvano: His stage act is just amazing. His "thumb tip" tape has tips on the best TT handling - John Calvert: His Houdini tribute... not a lecture on methods, but great insight to the variety and longevity of this living legend. His book is a must read too - Jay Sankee's tapes: a wide range of topics that he explores into dozen of variations of many standard close up effects |
