This is a brand new release from Michael Breggar, and is an exclusive from Kaymar Magic.
Art Attack by Michael Breggar Product page: https://www.kaymarmagic.com/products/art......xclusive Video trailer and introduction by Liam Montier, including a full uncut performance: Ad copy: Mike Breggar comes up with some of the most commercial presentations for self-working magic, and 'Art Attack!' is no exception! Offering to demonstrate some performing art, you remove a some art postcards that have been chopped up - literally into pieces of art! The spectator shuffles them around, whilst you leave a mysterious red envelope on a cute little easel, in full view. The shuffled pieces are dealt out onto the table, some turned so there's a mixture of face-up and face-down pieces, and then finally the spectators give the packet an 'origami shuffle', folding the pieces together into one packet, with each fold changing the positions and orientations of the art cards. When the packet is all back together, you spread it across the table and then call attention to the mysterious red envelope. When opened, it has a prediction inside, that 'FOUR PIECES WILL BE FACE DOWN'. The face down pieces are counted, and there are EXACTLY FOUR! 'Not only that!' you say, 'but sometimes they come together to make a masterpiece...' you turn over three of the pieces to show they are all from the same picture! Allowing the spectator to turn over the last piece - it doesn't match! 'Well, some might say it's more of a 'Mess-Terpiece', but I think you did perfectly...' With their mis-made picture on the table, you turn over the prediction card to reveal it is an EXACT match of the mis-made picture! NO MOVES! NO SLEIGHTS! NO GAFFS OR GIMMICKS! NO MEMORY WORK! INSTANT RESET! EXAMINABLE! Package includes EVERYTHING you need to do the routine, plus a spare set of cards to do Mike Breggars version (which has a different method and more pieces), instructions for both routines (the first version on streaming video, and Mike's one as a bonus PDF) plus the mysterious red envelope AND THE MINI EASEL! |

For anyone who has John Bannon's Dear Mr. Fantasy, it is Four Degrees of Freedom adapted to these props. I believe Bannon is credited.

It is also very, very similar to Brix.
https://www.penguinmagic.com/p/10943 But I don't think the point of this release was because nothing like it has ever been done before. The fact that they used this existing method and applied it to famous works of art is appealing to me, and I'm sure that they hope many of us will find it appealing enough to purchase it. I've been a fan of the method for quite some time and enjoy having various versions of this available. I've also been thinking about making up my own version using off rack postcards but have never gotten around to it yet. Perhaps someday... |

I picked this up. Very nicely packaged and great video instruction. Plays as described. Liam even through in a UK sweet in the package. This comes with extra cards should you wish to arrive at the matched prediction rather than the unmatched one.

This is a nice one. I especially like the "Origami Shuffle" part and the art-based theme. Sculpture Card Prediction by JL Magic uses a similar principle.

This principle goes way back, before any of the items cited so far.
Nick Trost's Quadraplex Richard Vollmer Mr Koenig's Tapestry (Harry Lorayne's Apocalypse Vol 14 No3 P1902 Mar 1991) Are a couple of notable ones but there are many more. Not many add much more to the originals other than the revelation of the picture eg lego person, work of art etc. I think Art Attack is one of the better versions and is a nice entertaining presentation. BTW I have purchased this and will use it. |

The one thing that you understand right away is that the cards can be customized to whatever pictures you want. Otherwise, it is simply following the given procedure. There is the tiniest memory work needed, so saying there is no memory work is a little misleading. Although I feel like if you remember to put your underwear on before your pants in the morning, you are probably capable of remembering the procedure. That being said, I have a big problem with this release. While I realize there are many versions of this effect, I want to know how on earth the café is not ripping apart Michael Breggar, Kaymar Magic, or Liam Montier for releasing this effect. This isn't just nearly identical to Bucket List, it is identical in every way except different pictures. I don't feel like simple crediting is enough. It seems to me this just shouldn't be released. I guess I might as well release multiple versions of this using various pictures and call each one a new effect. Maybe a kids version with animals or super heroes. How about a space themed version. Maybe cars? Airplanes? Memes? Alcohol? Side note, this plays well with kids and adults. I made a few different versions to play to different venues and ages (kids, teens, adults, friends, parties, bars, weddings, etc...). Great effect, but I feel like this is just a blatant rip off. Perhaps Vinny's version is as well. It just happened to be the first time I was introduced to the concept. |

This sort of thing is common in magic ie people alter the slightest thing in an effect and release it as something new or write it up in a book or just blatantly rip something off that's so old it appears to be new. |

The thing that is often overlooked is that people often assume that each creator/manufacturer is automatically making loads of money with any new version they put out while taking very little or no risk. But you probably wouldn’t end up releasing different versions because once you started researching the time and money required to bring your versions to fruition, while also discovering what Murphy’s cut is as well as the various dealers, while you’re not guaranteed you’ll sell a single copy. Most people do the math and then never get out of the starting gate. I’m not condoning stealing another effect but being this is a fairly old method I’m not sure it constitutes stealing or not. I’m merely pointing out that people often tend to view these different versions to be easy money, which is not known until after you’ve made the initial investment. At which point you often discover that recouping your investment is not that easy after all. |

Have to question the decision behind having some of artwork be so abstract it doesn’t actually matter what order it’s in, it still looks the same.

I believe the principle goes back back to 1926 and an English puzzle inventor named Henry Dudeney. It's evolved since.

When Vinny came out with Bucket List, I had mentioned to him that you could do it using four cut up postcards. My preference.

I went back to the Bucket List thread and found I had suggested to Vinny the idea of using postcards of paintings as well. That was April 17th of last year.

Well, the principle exists since a very long time I.m sure of that, however when I saw this Item I immediately had the exact same feeling as Marvinsanremo just above, the items are clearly identical, *** I can’t believe it...

This must just have been an exclusive over at Kaymar Magic initially, because it's now being sold through Big Blind Media as well:
