The effect is simple and strong: a truly random card is selected, signed, and lost in the center of the pack. You introduce a coin (which can also be signed) and you cause the coin to vanish visually. The coin is then rediscovered in the center of the pack, right next to the signed selection. The CVF Deck is a brilliant and creative method, and the deck itself does all the work. The included pack of cards allows you to vanish the coin by tapping it with the deck. Poof, it's gone. You never even touch it. The coin's disappearance is exactly how magic ought to look. And then...the coin reappears just above the signed selection. Are you as fooled as we are? The CVF Deck includes the gimmicked deck you need to perform the trick, and it can be learned within minutes thanks to Kyle Littleton's thorough video instructions. Both the coin and card can be signed, and the deck resets itself quickly for repeat performances. Please note: You will need to use a coin that is either ferrous, magnetic, or shimmed. |

Very visual! Looks simple to perform as well... Unless I am missing something, you only need to be comfortable spreading cards (carefully) and perhaps a g***e. This would be fun with a talisman of some sort and a tarot deck!

I’ve got it ! Don’t waste your money the hinge flap which is just clear tape has already torn , only operated the flap a dozen times during practice.
And yes it does state in the instructions to just repair it by putting new tape on but you can’t take the old tape off so you’re putting tape over tape so in another dozen plays it will be 3 layers of tape. |

I haven't used mine much but definitely more than 3 times and I don't have an issue yet... That said, I am not a professional performer either. I will most likely adapt this effect for a darker Tarot type one to add intrigue. I would think that a g***e could be used to eliminate the need for the gimmicked card?

How easy is it to make a new one in a different deck or due to breakage?
When I think of Bennie Chickerling I think of card splitting. Any of that involved? |

When I think of Bennie Chickering I think of very bad customer service and shameless money grabs 🤭

The tape is very easy to remove and will not damage the card when you do so, to replace it takes no more than a minute and therefore you are not putting tape on tape. I also can't believe how many people don't know the difference between normal Scotch type tape and the magic type they use for this. You don't have to use the Scotch brand Amazon in the UK sell Magic tape which is just a normal common tape for £1 it's nothing special, it's just a matt tape that does not shine like normal gloss finish type tape. I have no idea why this rumour is spreading and I'm guessing not everyone has watched the full tutorial as well based on a number of questions we have received which are covered in it.

Problem with the matt type is that it’s not as sticky, as we used it in the Military to join maps without the nightmare of ‘normal’ tape. Perhaps that’s why there’s an issue? Basically matt tape is repositional.
If you want mega sticky then use waterproof tape. Of course there maybe a reason to use the matt type, and if so it definitely should not be difficult to remove. |

I just think people reporting the "problem" just don't understand the difference if they did they would not be reporting it as a problem. Maybe the tutorial should give people a lesson in tape types!

I do agree however that a similar effect as he shows can be achieved with sleight of hand but in reality this effect is being sold to those that want a visual that can't be produced that way and want a self working trick they can do in minutes after watching the tutorial. He knocked it for lack of examination but you can't examine invisible deck and many others so I didn't really think that was right to mark it down for that. The deck can be handled and spread as shown which is pretty good for gaff deck. Value for money its good and ready made to go. Yes the gimmick could have been made in a more traditional way but really the maintenance on this in so minimal and I'm sure they did it this way to keep the costs down.

I appreciate your input, Saturn. You have proven to be a reliable source of info. Good to hear your different opinion on this.
Please check regularly if you are becoming the type of magician Jerry Seinfeld jokes about. (This applies to mentalists as well.)

I got this and I am not fond of it. I will stick with my Coindeck which is beautifully crafted by Rob Bromley and, no parts that have to be repaired after a few uses etc, and you will smile to yourself once you see the ingenious working of it.

Not sure I like this.
Seems to be hit or miss if the coin goes where it’s meant to go without some adjustments. The noise is a give away as well I feel. First time i’ve been disappointed in a Vanishing Inc product. |

On Jul 15, 2021, Saturn UK wrote: I must respectfully disagree with you. Comparing this to something like the invisible deck is just ridiculous. Invisible deck is structured in such a way that people will not want to examine the deck. The focus is on the card that has turned over in the deck. In this situation a coin appears in a deck next to a card. Nothing can be examined and it’s a sort of effect that will want people to examine it. Also the gimmick is not made very well. Take aside the fact that it uses tape instead of a professionally made hinge. It’s made out of cardboard and it will break easily. If you looked at ours after just a week of practice it’s not deceptive at all. If you want a gimmick version of doing this use Rob Bromley’s. It’s made so much better, and it’s made to last. I’m not the only one who thinks this. The quality is substandard and the effect is over too quickly and the effect can be done with minimal sleight of hand. Plus whether you think it’s an issue or not, the fact it cannot be examined is an issue. Also I would’ve expected a coin to be included with the product. Vanishing INC produced some fantastic magic. They are one of my favourite magic producers. But they missed the mark with this one |
