VEGA VS OBERON
As many have already guessed the gimmick is similar to Marc Oberon's incarnation. However Adrian's gimmick is made from Bycicle cardstock and not from paper as for Oberon's gimmick. Moreover the folding used for Adrian's gimmick makes it easier and in my opinion cleaner when you open it. When the card is open you can clearly display it front and back which is not the case for Oberon's version. JUST THE SOUL Just the soul is actually the name of the bonus effect and I believe many will perform the bonus effect rather than the main effect. In performance it is very similar to Joshua Jay's Inferno using Adrian's gimmick. CAAN The main effect which is the predicted card at any number requires some mental gymnastic and a card technique to transfer a few cards. The are multiple options for the card technique required according to your skill level BUT I believe many will dismiss this routine for the mental gymnastic required which is a little harder than simple math. It is simple in itself but could be an issue when you are performing under pressure. . |

I had the math equations down in no time at all but I did practice it for about an hour or two just calling out numbers thinking what has to be done and then doing it. As time went on it became easier and easier to do but I will admit you do have to think of which way you're going to hold the deck as you do the equations. That being said I absolutely love the alternative routine that you can do with this.

Sounds nice for a parlor setting but if you can't have the spec touch the prediction card then you need a very well behaved audience for close up. Not for pub work LOL

That is an interesting point. So far I've only had limited times where I can perform this and as of now no one's asked to see the card but I think maybe I should have an answer ready to go in case if they do ask. I'm thinking maybe go right into another effect immediately just to prevent that from happening. But so far so good no one has asked.

If you handle the gimmick like a normal card, a spectator will not question the card.
Just throw it in the air with a spin like Adrian suggets. |

Very good observation. So far that is what I have found no one even questions the card at all. I do have two tips I'd like to share with everyone. One when you buy your paper clips by the ones with that little rubber or plastic Coatings that they have on somewhere they come in different colors. Also if you buy the larger ones you can clip your card to the point where the sharp edges of the paper clips would not even come in contact with the card and you can use the paperclip as a handle to pick the card up with and show everyone the card by holding onto the extended end of the paperclip. This will stop the card from being scratched and makes a nice presentation point for holding the card in Plainview.
Point number two. When doing the math on this let's say someone picks the number 37 all you have to do is think 17 then you realize what end of the deck you need to transfer your cards to very simply instead of convoluting the math with thinking how do I get to 37. Just put it in a math category where you have to either get close to 10 or 15. If they say 32 or 42 to figure you just need to get to 12 the natural progression of the math in this effect is so basic that if you get to 12 you will get to 32 or 42 I hope that makes sense. If you have any questions please feel free to p m me or state them here. Good magic to all, Eric |

Hi, I was wondering how many cards does the gimmick represent? Thank you.

You have one value and four different suits.

You are very welcome. When I showed it to my wife she said it looks a lot cleaner when you're holding the prediction that way that way they realize you cannot do anything with your fingers while you're holding it it just makes a clean display of the prediction.

Great tips Eric and I can imagine how much cleaner that looks by re clipping after the unfolding process.
Thank you my friend Gaz 😊 |

Gaz that is a great idea. And it would make sense too since you're just putting the clip back on the CARD(?).😊

I love the idea of actually seeing the reveal gimmick so I think I will buy it for the unfolding gimmick process alone.
It’s sounds good for various effects including a variation of inferno that is taught too. If it’s a better version of Marc’s incarnation then it must be good and thanks to Eric for not only taking one for the team but being so so helpful with all his ideas and thoughts on this product Gaz 👍👍😊 |

I’m curious as Inferno works a bit simpler using the Queens, whereas with this gimmick you may get any random value, correct?

You are probably right Bill, I am just curious so will buy the gimmick to see how good it is and then remake it if necessary in any values Gaz 😊 ps I have just split 4 decks into thin bikes to create some Get sharkey or Max Mavens pocket nightmare type of effect as I much prefer Bikes over Phoenix decks.
I have the originals in Phoenix and also the overkill deck in Phoenix so I want to rebuild something along those lines |

Imho, Tony Miller's Pocket Space Plus is a much better investment. Not only is it less cost, there is only ONE card, no mental gymnastics needed, and fits in the wallet.

If I ordered two copies of this would I get gimmicks with different values? Would two gimmicks fit in a double envelope?

It would be hit-and-miss as far as what cards you would receive it might be possible to have the place where you order them from check to see what values you are getting let them know you don't want them of course to be doubled up. As far as fitting into an envelope I don't see why it wouldn't the cards are not really that thick and especially if you have them paperclip I think they should be able to fit into a prepared envelope. I hope that helps.
