Okay I just ordered this today from Hocus Pocus magic after I saw the video that was posted. I will give my review once I get it and have had a chance to work with it a little bit. I have high hopes for this but like I always say we shall see when it shows up. I am very hopeful about it especially after seeing this last posted video. From what I understand this should not be a knuckle buster but let's see.

Now I will admit that his handling of the cards at first once he gets the number there is at least it appears to be a little bit of manipulation going on but if that's the case I don't see why this would not just be a download. So I'm interested in seeing exactly what the gimmick is.

The gimmick looked like it was more than one card and an origami type of unfolding. There also appeared to be a spread cull going on imo Gaz 😊

Also it will have the face up face down variation every other time on average too. Don’t get me wrong he does the move beautifully but the gimmicked card will need some distance from the spectator on the reveal.
I would rather have a regular card reveal and the whole deck gimmicked because at the end the deck is away in your pocket and all the heat is on the revelation not the deck. This is a effect designed for magicians showing magicians more than layman imo Gaz 😊 |

That's exactly how I'm thinking this is done but I've been wrong before and I will definitely post a review when I receive this. I do however have my doubts about the card only having a few reveals but we will see. I'm still interested in seeing how the card is obtained in the process.

Or even have an index and perform sankey paper clipped

I'm pretty sure an index is not used if you watch the video everything is pretty clean except for the beginning when he handles the cards and I think that will fly by most people. I should have this on Saturday and I'm looking forward to seeing how this is accomplished.

I’m not implying an index is used, I’m just saying another alternative with the same premise is to use an index with paper clipped

Got it. My whole thing is depending on what the gimmick is if we're talking about a certain move and possibly a stacked deck I wonder why this could not be a download but I know I'm jumping to conclusions here so I will patiently wait until Saturday.

Please watch the video again - you can see there is very little messing around opening the gimmick (actually none to the spectator) - meaning it leaves you with x outs - again meaning you need to get one of x cards to the right spot in the deck before the counting is done, which is why there is some spreading of the cards prior to the counting. If that's good for you - then this is a great prediction CAAN for you.
Those who buy it will probably like it a lot - it does exactly as is stated and shown in the video, and in the Luke Dancy interview. |

He did the move nicely on the video. There are actually similarities to The Grail. Each has its advantages and disadvantages.
I'd love to see a full performance of the bonus routine, folded card in box... |

Yes it will be a stacked deck then a cull/cut or half pass scenario and then counting from either end. Probably a 4 way out type of gimmick, if you want to do all that to achieve the end dirty reveal then great. There are far easier ways imho Gaz 😊

Xact is also easier and cleaner too imo Gaz 😊

Xact was clever but too many gimmicks to be considered a clean version especially for close up. Went to the draw when the Grail GOLD Edition by Mike Rose came out.
