Not only did my cap not stay on but my pen completely fell apart after only an hour or so of practicing, sending it back for a refund. I will stick with ignition as it's a much more durable gimmick.

"The New York Papers," Mark Twain once said,"have long known that no large question is ever really settled until I have been consulted; it is the way they feel about it, and they show it by always sending to me when they get uneasy. "

I was excited to recieve this as only recently back into magic but I remember a few friends having this back in the day... sold out back then so I could never get my hands on one...until now.
Definitely experiencing the loose cap..I actually had them send me a replacement as they said it shouldnt be loose. Second one was also super loose. I squeezed it a bit as people here have done. Problem mostly solved. For those with the stiff inner barrel..How do I get it out so I can try to smooth the action out as some of you have described. Its impossible to...reset... without using the cap method and a hard push currently. |

I just got the pen last week and it works great. It was a little hard to push the barrel at first
but a little fine machine oil did the trick. My pen didn’t write when I got it so I tried to follow the refill instructions on the video download. The problem is the video instructions won’t work on my pen. There is no plastic ink tube on my pen but a one piece metal end. I would like to use this as an everyday pen if possible. I called and emailed Murphy’s Magic but they didn’t reply. Any suggestions?

Has anyone received a perfect Perfect Pen? I’m on the fence about ordering one but all these quality control issues put me off. Separate question: why is there no locking version of this?

I solved my problem with the ink refill.
If someone needs instruction just let me know. I don’t want to get into lengthy explanation if there’s no interest.

Even back when I bought mine years ago my cap was loose fitting. I left mine loose because it's easy on and off. Also it pushes the end out without scratching my pen. Best wishes Don Wand

I really don't see the point of the perfect pen as the part you have to steal away from an everyday cheap looking Bic pen that people are actually familiar with is so small it flies by in the real world and all attension is on the pen as you hand it outfor examination, plus the reset is done in a second as you put it away.

Hey all,
I recently got my hands on this and gave it The Wife Test and filmed it too! See what she thinks for yourself. |

I received the perfect pen today. Excellent quality. It actually looks like a real pen, and above all, this pen can write, giving it to be used on a daily basis, and then...bang, we punched a note. Much quality. I recommend

David Regal gave a good review in April 2022 edition. Maybe Murphy’s has now fixed all the issues previously mentioned?
