It was through Gaz's recommendation and expertise that persuaded me to go ahead and order.

My "normal" wallet is about dead, but I can't justify buying just a magic wallet. I need one that can be used like a real wallet, too. The ad copy says...

"Hermes can hold anywhere from 6-9 credit cards with ease (depending on your configuration), 10 business cards, your ID, and your cash..."

Is anybody here carrying one filled up like that?

I don't think Hermes is my favorite "magic" wallet (either for a p&&k or c2w). This isn't meant to be a negative review, just that I have other magic wallets that do these things better for my personal tastes.

With that said, I carry the Hermes Wallet every day because I just love it as a normal wallet. The pull tab for the cards is awesome, and I use the bill clip for my bills and the strap for business cards. I think I have like 5 credit cards and my DL, but it could easily hold 2-3 more. And of course, if I was in a situation to do a mental/c2w routine, I have it when I want it.

The plastic Nexus came in at $110 !!

It's not genuine leather, but I wouldn't call the Nexus Wallet "plastic". It's an artificial leather.

Unfortunately I don't own the Hermes Wallet, so I can't compare the two. But I just posted a detailed review of the Nexus Wallet elsewhere on The Magic Café here:

Judging by the photo you attached, Jay, it definitely looks in need of replacing!

If the amount of wear is any indication, it has served you well.

I couldn't have put it better. The Hermes too is my slim everyday wallet and having it on me means I am never without the means to present something special.

Absolutely it’s the only “magic wallet” I have ever used as my everyday wallet and love it for that alone.
The fact it does so much more too is fantastic imo Gaz 😊

My wife was admiring my Hermes wallet today, saying how sleek and slim it is. She would now like one!

Yes it’s a great wallet that I use as my EDC and as a result use the peek function a lot when I don’t have anything else on me scenarios as it’s just always there.
Very deceptive and beautifully made Gaz 😊

I better not tell my wife it is back in stock Smile

This wallet has definitely been one of my best, if not the best, purchase of the year.

4 credit cards
license
3 other cards like health insurance etc
10 biz cards
the out to lunch is loaded
money

I only use the peek and out to lunch

The cards mentioned do take up the room for the other things

Once you load up the Hermes wallet with credit cards and some paper money (more than 3 bills) it is no longer a slim line/minimalistic wallet. It becomes thick but still a little slimmer then the traditional Dad bill fold leather wallet. The Wallet transformer gimmick that comes with the wallet should not be advertised as a "switch device" since items do not actually switch places. Not in the sense of a true switch wallet, like a himber wallet. The wording of "switch device" is misleading. items do not switch place.

Hi Kinjite,

This is my wallet next to a standard billfold wallet. In it I have six credit cards, an ID, peek device, 8 business cards, 5 bills (4 paper, 1 polymer). The billfold wallet (which is on the right) is 100% empty. As you can see, even when filled with all the things I'd need for day to day life, Hermes is still slimmer than an empty billfold wallet.

In regards to the Wallet Transformer, as mentioned earlier in the thread, the reason we advertised it as a switch device is because it works more like a Kennedy box than a himber wallet. You can switch any flat object you want (such as a bill, card, receipt, credit card, etc) for another. If we had advertised it as a switch wallet, that would be totally misleading, as people would expect it to work like a standard Himber/Z fold wallet or even the original Quiver. If you have any questions I'm happy to help

I have 9 polymer notes in mine and 1 paper note.
Why? Because 2 of them are £50 UK notes and as they aren’t that easy to come by in polymer yet I just happen to have one of each Gaz 😊
