I'm looking for references about this simple card effect.

The performer forces a card (the 7 of Diamonds?). Then the spectator starts to scribble on a piece of paper and finally the performer divines the spectator's card looking at the scribbles and finding the 7D in there.

Thank you

I looked up "scribble" on conjuringarchive.com and this is what I found...two of them, Grismer and Fulves, sound similar.

Hi Tortuga,
thank you for the link. Unfortunately the effect I'm searching is not there.

The basic idea of the effect is that if someone scribble a paper enough, it should be always possible to find some signs similar to a seven and a diamond.

In TA Waters' "Automanticard," from Mind, Myth, and Magick, one spectator's automatic writing is used to divine another spectator's chosen card. No force is necessary, and the magician doesn't know in advance which card will be used.

Thank you Ruper and Denis.

From the descriptions only Karrell Fox's "Riddle Droodle" and Francisco Nardi's "Mind Track" may be the effect I'm looking for. Unfortunately I have neither of the two books.

Sounds interesting.

Bruce Gordon has an effect where he explains that finding a card is like a “labyrinth”, and he spreads the cards around the table in a sort of labyrinth, and at the end it the spec can see “7D” in the spread
