Tony Slydini was incredibly perceptive and could read people extremely well. This lesson audio clip is of Tony Slydini describing to Bill Wisch his own method on how to tell if someone is lying to you.

The method: Slydini would have someone recollect a story once and then ask them to repeat it a second time. This time, Slydini would stare at them and not smile, not talk, not react. His theory was that if the person was lying, they would have a hard time not just talking and talking and talking. They wouldn't be able to stop very easily.

If someone was telling the truth, they would look at the person (who is stone faced upon the second telling of the story) and ask "Why are you looking at me that way?" If they did this, they were telling the truth.

This shows just how perceptive and advanced Slydini was in seeing the world around him. Agree with his theory or not; but you cannot deny that Slydini was constantly assessing every situation around him with utter detail. And I believe that is the lesson one can best take away from this clip. Assess every situation carefully.

If you like footage like this, please subscribe to my Youtube channel and "like" the audio clip! This clip represents just 3minutes and 34 seconds of more than 38hours of audio footage Slydini was kind enough to let me take during my more than 120 lessons with him. Thank you and stay safe!

Slydini:
"This is my idea. I say when you say it again just for fun you're not going to prove anything but at least you know that you go the right way. Right? I say when you say it again, look at them and says "I want you to repeat everything from beginning to the end. Don't missa one word. So they'll do it. And he'll stand like this and look at him- try to not blink. You know you can't get through talking. You have to start talking. You get so nervous. When you look at this guy you look at him and you don't say anything don't smile and he have to start talking." You'll do that and say "You know, Slydini that's so true."

You develop those things.... but the law don't permit those things. Suppose I commit a crime and they arrest you and you declare you didn't do. Right? So they will watch where they goes. Now a week will pass a week two weeks and they catch him again and will take another try. They will ask the same questions and they see how they answer and he say "not guilty" and he was guilty before. If he's not guilty he will talk different. Oh yes, completely different. But the law don't permit to do. See that's my idea all those things.

Bill Wisch:
Sure, that's fantastic. That's very interesting. Let me ask you this. When you were staring at the guy he couldn't continue talking, right?

Slydini:
No, look. Suppose you have to tell me the story and I say this way and I look at you.

Bill Wisch:
Yeah I get disturbed that you're looking at me like that.

Slydini:
He doesn't believe that I'm looking at him that way. In your mind he's thinking so much about me, that you don't know what to say yourself. So many things involved. Because he doesn't know what to think so many things. Why you're looking at me and you don't blink. Note that the guy will never finish talking that's if he's guilty. If he's not guilty, he will say, "Why you look to me like that?"
