Nothing is cooler than than flash paper, yet I've really used it during actual performances. Sometimes I'll use it with a flame to rose in make the effect more dramatic, but not much else.
What have you ever used FP for? |

NO. The last time I used it, I was performing for Michael Jackson on some Pepsi gig. It didn't go over well. Hahahaha
WHAT IF you wake up tomorrow with ONLY the things that you THANK GOD for today?

I'll use FP or string to increase the "wow" factor of an appear or vanish, or in a cut and restore. Of course the flash also provides additional cover

Back in the day (1950's) when I was just a kid, I used to play with FP just to amuse myself, or perhaps startle my younger sister once in a while. Then a few years later I'd still carry some in my wallet to catch the eye of an inattentive waitress--set off a small piece in an ashtray with my cigarette so that she'd jerk around to look in my direction, then quickly say something like, "Oh, hi! D'you suppose I could get a refill on my coffee?" But that was back in the day . . . when smoking in restaurants was still legal . . . and I was still very young and could remember the point I was trying to make . . . unlike now . . . (sigh) . . . .

This is what ya want:
https://mk0dreamlandmagtcfsd.kinstacdn.c......x600.jpg Get some Flash Cotton: https://www.penguinmagic.com/p/8701?gcli......wsvD_BwE The idea here is the element of surprise. Just a tiny piece is all that is necessary. Here is my flasher: https://www.ebay.com/itm/304082707157?ha......4rRg~4aL FYI, you do not want to flash fire in a public place like a bank. The Police do not have a great sense of humor when it comes to fire. Be careful... Doug |

Dougini, regarding your caution about public places, the police and so forth: As a thoughtless teenager still lacking a fully developed frontal lobe, I once set off a small wad of FP in a thick glass ashtray on a drugstore soda fountain counter, and the momentary intense heat cracked the ashtray in two! Luckily it was a cheap item and I was not asked to pay for it; but that was the last time I ever pulled one of those little attention-getting stunts in a public place like that.

Definitely also used to carry this around. I thought it was a great idea to include in my children's show (what was I thinking?) until the fire marshal was not nearly as impressed with my act. Got off with a warning, but have only broken it out sparingly since.
