You truly have to develop a lifestyle around carrying things like this. I used to use a very large magnet (strapped to my arm with sports bandage) and I did, in fact, destroy a hard drive with it; one on which I had a large, nearly completed editing project on which I’d spent days working, among other things. But, you also have to concern yourself with and be conscious of other people’s electronics, not just your own. Not to mention things like silverware, etc. There is a lot of metal and electronics around all the time. You can’t let your guard down when you’re armed with something like this.
It's all in the reflexes.

Here's an effect I did using an M5 back in 2006. I wonder if you could do this with Distancia? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYlbiHpcbR8

So for those that have this…is it limited to the wrist? Or is it versatile enough to be contained on an ankle, a knee, the elbow, etc for table work?
Things are about to change........ LIGHTS!!!

Dunno but my thought is if you strap it to your wrist/forearm you could do the glass trick quite nicely. Steel clad half $ on spec hand, glass over coin, you hold spec's other hand and as you move their hand up the magnet on your wrist moves the coin up so the motions are perfectly in synch. I wonder if you could use Blackbird gimmick to then ditch the magnet (assuming right form factor) which would be nice.
I do wonder how big a pull you need from the magnet to make this effect work. I read somewhere that basically pull = 4" + 1" per 10 pounds of pull so 100 pounds of pull seems like it would get the job done. |

I would day you have to be 10 cm roughly from the coin to « activate » it 🙂

Awesome Alexis, thank you for the review!
On the official trailer, the first time we see the coin flipping under the glass at 00:12, the magician's left wrist is far on the left side of the frame and looks at least 20 centimeters away from the spectator's hand which seems very magical. Is this actually doable with such a distance using the provided props? |

If you refer to the performances at 00:11 and 00:59, the arm that holds the spectator's hand is not the one with the gimmick on it They have to lift their right arm at the right of the glass to make the coin stand up.

The coin in the hand idea is not new btw.
People have done this with the wizard pk block mentioned above. I’m still looking for some benefits of this product and comparisons. Thank you. |

I received this today. The quality of the magnet, straps and magnetic coin are all very good. The instructional video is the most annoying part. Even though the French Twins speak in English, there are subtitles. However, the subtitles are large and the location of the subtitles block many parts of the explanations of how to put together the strap and of the explanations of the main tricks. You can see enough in order to understand what to do but it is very annoying and unnecessary.
