Jack Sand, known to many as a magical weekend weatherman and host on WDAY in Fargo, ND, has passed away. He regularly participated in magical meet-ups in the Dakotas and Minnesota, and helped bring Canadian magicians such as Mel Stover, Brian Glow, and James Ceilen through the upper Midwest the 1980s. He was an early magical inspiration for many, including using magic with a message to share the Gospel. Many recall him regularly using Gwendolyn the Card Duck to help grade the weather on air, and in private he was a kind and funny mentor who brought out the best in fellow entertainers. |
