While I have found a whole new world of ideas in Kadar, I am always looking for ideas to compliment Kadar readings. I'd prefer not to use anything too "magical looking."
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

The part of the Kadar reading with the coin being placed on a card gives you a potential effect with a prediction of which coin they’ll choose. You might predict it from an imaginary choice or you might have some antique coins and one duplicate that matches the coin they’ll choose. Or read Voodini’s 3 Coins 4 Your Thoughts to create an added layer of reading.
If you print up a copy of the old fashioned fortune tickets from the machine that inspired Kadar cards, you can end with the querant selecting one for an added message. A variation of this is to print tickets with good deeds to be performed (feed a hungry stranger, pick up trash that someone else left, speak to a homeless person kindly, etc) and people have a choice of paying for the reading or taking a Kadar Karma ticket, but they have to promise to actually do what the ticket says. I haven’t actually done that, so it is just an idea. Use a pendulum to select the ace or the court card. I don’t really like to mix magic with readings, but I think it is great fun to add layers of mysticism in a lighthearted way. And any time folks have a takeaway item, there’s the chance of long term reminders about you and what you do. Patrick |

Thanks Patrick! Those are some great ideas! Very much appreciated! I really like the good deeds idea. Kind of "pay it forward."

Read The Dance by Brad Henderson. Great book of theory on readings.
