What would you say is the best effect that you have seen with a double backed card.

I do one that I picked up at allmagic.com. It is like the Chicago Opener, where a card is selected and returned to the pack and when the deck is spread, one opposite color backed card has a question mark, reflecting your own "question" you have about what card was selected. The question card is turned over, revealing the selection and placed face up on the table. Since you, the magician, now know the selection, you no longer have a question that needs answering, so you turn over the face up selection to reveal that it now has the same color back as the pack. The pack is spread revealing all the backs are the same. It gets surprisingly strong reactions and uses a red/blue double back.

Let's see...Satan Behind You is a simple card location (Doesn't that name remind anyone of the South Park Movie? LOL) but I also like the Insto-Transpo, a signed card transposition.

I use one with a variation of earl nelson effect.
I insert a face down stranger card into a face up deck at the start of the trick. it ends up being their selection they make later in the effect. the db does this for you. I am sure you can figure out how. my wife is trying to sleep and wont let me type. shhhhh... frank

It is not exactly same. In original Frank Potts version, question mark is not used. Selection appears with different colored back. P.P.S. BTW, if you use question mark, I think, you'd better use same color for D/B card. Using many factors for the same purpose would complicate magic as the case may be. |

NOt sure if it is published, but Doc Eason suggested a handling with a DB card and I worked out my own variation.

I've been using David Parr's "Game of Life and Death". Great routine. It's very simple in method, but the presentation and the ending make this worth every penny.
